Measures Following the Reclassification of COVID-19 as a Category V Infectious Disease on May 8th, 2023

As of May 8th, 2023, COVID-19 was reclassified as a Category V Infectious Disease under the Infectious Diseases Control Law.
In line with this, Japan's Basic Response Policies, and Kagawa Prefecture's response policies have been abolished.
From May 8th, basic infection control measures will not be laid out by the national and local governments. Instead, these measures will be left to the individual to decide for themselves.
